Red Bank, Feb. 12--As members of the family and friends of George H. Taylor of Leonard street, who died Saturday night several hours after a fall from a coal delivery wagon, are of the opinion that the deceased might have met foul play, County Physician Dr. Reginald S. Bennett of Asbury Park, who was notified of the developments by Coroner Albert W. Worden, jr., of Red Bank, yesterday visited Red Bank. The remains of Mr. Taylor were moved to Worden's funeral parlors and an autopsy performed by Dr. Bennett, assisted by Dr. J. W. Parker of Shrewsbury avenue, who attended Taylor after the accident. The autopsy showed that death was due to a concussion of the brain, as first stated by Dr. Parker. Dr. Bennett instructed Coroner Worden to conduct an inquest into the death, and a coroner's jury was impaneled by Constable J. Frank Patterson. They jurymen are: Charles L. Davis, foreman; A. Trumbull Smith, Ellwood B. Ivins, Edward Coyne, Moses Ivins, and John D. Page. The jury viewed the remains and next Friday night at 8 o'clock at the Red Bank boro hall was set for the inquest. A number of persons connected with the affair have been subpoenaed, including Robert Mickens, who was driving the truck; Drs. Bennett and Parker, Myron V. Brown, by whom Taylor was employed; the deceased's widow, Bessie, and son, William; and Fletcher Pope and Edward Bowman of Little Silver, who were on the truck with Taylor and Mickens. The funeral of Mr. Taylor was conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock at Calvary Baptist church, with Rev. Samuel Mann, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Mr. Rogers of Belmar.
