Born July 6, 1946 in Salem, he was a son of the late Charles and Myrtle Gorby DePillo.
He was a member of the Lake Mount Church of Christ and a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran. Prior to retirement, he worked at Franklin Furniture.
Survivors include his wife, Iris Parsons; one step-son, William Smith; step-daughter, Tina Laughlin; brother, Edward DePillo; two sisters, Evelyn Chamberlin and Shirley Smith and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Devan and a daughter in infancy.
