Bette C. Hewitt, age 87, of Knoxville, passed away September 26, 2016. Bette was a member of Third Creek Baptist Church. She retired from St. Mary's Hospital where she loved working in the Day Care.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Kenna Sue Tarwater; sisters, Anne Estes and Jimmie Flood. She is survived by her granddaughter, Amy (Les) Martin; great-grandson, Isaac Martin; sisters, Mary Jo, Linda (Don) and Bobbie; brother, Ernie (Zane), Cecil (Mary Ann); several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Thelma Cole.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday in Weaver's chapel with service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Dr. Rodney Duncan officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45 a.m., Thursday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 a.m. interment. Condolences are welcome at www.weaverfuneralservices.com.
