Leon E. "Hutch" Hutchinson Sr. A retired supervisor for Kaiser Aluminum and a resident of Rosedale, he died Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, surrounded by family.
He was 85, a native of Hammond and U.S. Navy veteran.
Visiting at Rosedale United Methodist Church, Rosedale, on Tuesday, Nov. 4, from was 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the church on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by Jeremy S. Jones, pastor. Interment in Rosedale Cemetery.
Survived by his wife, Mary Ethel Row Hutchinson; daughter, Myra Elizabeth Klein and husband John; two sons, Walter Merrill Hutchinson and wife Charlene, and Leon E. Hutchinson Jr. and wife Madonna Garrett; six grandchildren, Martin Klein, Stephanie Lawson, John Randall Hutchinson, Daniel Hutchinson, Theresa Hutchinson and Merrill Hutchinson; and three great-grandchildren, Trevor Klein, Andrew Klein and Drake Hutchinson.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Maggie Hutchinson; sister, Myra Theresa Hutchinson; brother, John L. Hutchinson; and son, John Randall Hutchinson.
He loved farming, tending to his cows and hunting. But most of all, he loved family time.
