"This plaque is erected in memory of those deceased members of the Kenel Catholic Church, whose graves could not be identified when relocated from original Kenel Cemetery. The relocation was necessary as a result of the construction of the Oahe Dam and reservoir on the Missouri River in North and South Dakota. Although the original site may never be inundated, it was determined that the burials could be subject to disturbance by erosion or wave action from the reservoir"
Second picture is from the area within the cemetery, we were told all the identified individuals were buried.
