He was born Jan. 16, 1943, in Jamestown, the son of the late Donald E. and Ruth (Burrows) Bowen.
Grant was graduate of Randolph Central School and had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War Era. He worked prior to retirement at the Metallic Ladder Corporation in Randolph. He had been a member of the Randolph American Legion Post 181.
He is survived by a brother, Richard Gilbert Bowen and wife, Lynette of Randolph; five nieces and nephews; Marjorie Cooper, Christine Southwick, Larry Shugars, Donald Bowen and Lisa Nieman,
