DIMOND, Joyce Frances (Eagle) August 18, 1935 - July 25, 2014 Joyce passed away in the comfort of her home in Centennial, CO, while in the arms of her loving daughter Evelyn, on July 25, 2014. On that day she was released from her failing body to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. On this earth the things most precious to her were her five children, family and her connections to many others whose lives she touched. Joyce was born in Spokane, WA, to Donald and June Eagle. In her early years she lived with her parents in the Eagle family home in the Natatorium Park area. Later, her father's career as a well-known local musician took the family to Hollywood, CA, where she spent most of her childhood. During this time she became fascinated with the lives of others, especially the famous people she lived amongst at the time. The family eventually returned to Spokane where she attended and graduated from Holy Names Academy. In 1953 she married Donald Foy and they had three children, Michael, Jeanene, and Evelyn. Later she married Roy Dimond and had two more children, Kevin and Lisa. These five babies were the true loves of her life. In 1964 the family moved to the Denver, CO area. Joyce lived out the duration of her life in the home she proudly owned as a strong independent woman who will be remembered by many as the vibrant person who provided them impeccable service in some of the best restaurant establishments in Denver. Customers from Casey's Palace, Chateau Pyrenees, Chile Pepper, and the Cherry Crest Fish Market will remember her welcoming smile and the genuine interest she showed for them and in their lives. Interacting with her loyal customers brought her great pleasure. For many the feeling was mutual as they considered her to be like a part of their families. She was also an active member of her community who often attended Cherry Creek High School girls basketball games where she became their honorary team Grandma. Her family and friends will miss her wit and how she embraced so many with a heart full of love. It was well known that if there was an important family event, no matter how far away, that Joyce could be counted on to show up and be a part of the celebration. Joyce was loved very much by her children, Michael (Judy) Foy (Newman Lake, WA), Jeanene Foy (San Diego, CA), Evelyn (Mark) Williams (Spokane, WA), Kevin Dimond (Napa Valley, CA), and Lisa (Mark) Robertson (Denver, CO). Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will remember her always for her playfulness and dedication to them. They are Jamison and his children, Amalia and Zane Foy and their mother Kathy (Greeley, CO); Amanda, and her children Hannah and Natalie Cummins (Denver, CO) and their father Chris; Paul and Clayton Dimond and their mother Pamela (Las Vegas, NV); Vanessa (Guillaume) Buffry (Prague, Czech Republic) and Gillian Robertson (Denver, CO); Devin and Grace Dimond and their mother Kirsten (Henderson, NV). She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Deranleau (Federal Way, WA); and uncle, Daryl (Nancy) Eagle (Spokane, WA); and aunt, Mary Ehring (Rancho Cucamonga, CA); and many other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents Don and June Eagle, son Michael Foy, and her grandson James Dimond. Viewing and services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church (viewing at 10:00 am, services at 11:00 am) on August 4, 2014. Interment will be at the Fairmont Cemetery immediately after the services. A reception will be hosted at the Eagle family home at 2209 W. Milford Place in Spokane, WA, 99201 following the interment. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church (2705 W. Boone Ave, Spokane, WA. 99201).
