Erma Elizabeth Smith McClintic went to be with the Lord Sunday, Dec 21 just after her 93rd birthday.

Born Dec 18, 1921 she was the last surviving child of Noah and Ida Smith of South Webster.

Mother became the Matriarch of the McClintic family after our father, Floyd E McClintic passed away 35 years ago in 1979.

She was a loving mother of 9 children, 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by son, Floyd Michael McClintic, granddaughters Sarah Elizabeth McClintic, great grandchildren Dennis James and Elizabeth Niccole Roell, and her 10 brothers and sisters; Ralph, Roy, Clarence, Lloyd, and Leonard Smith. Mildred Ruth, Edith Rolfe, Esther Conklin, Leona Conklin, and Darlene Smith.

Survivors include 8 children and spouses; Linda Aeh, Patrick McClintic, Mark McClintic, Steve(Debbie) McClintic, Perry (Deborah) McClintic, and Kimberly(Jeff) Messer all of Wheelersburg. Also Brenda(Roger) Sharpe and Jackie(Dave)Bricker all of Columbus. Her 2 remaining sisters-in-laws; Anna Sargeant McClintic and Mildred McClintic(Sonny) Coriell of Wheelersburg.

Mother graduated from South Webster High School in 1940 and married later in the fall. Thus began her career of raising her family. An excellent cook, baker, and gardener she won many ribbons at the Scioto County Fair over the years.

Mother loved to travel beginning with her children's school trips to DC, New York, and Tennessee then later joining us for vacations all over the USA.

She was just as happy eating out and going to the shopping malls. She said "I always feel better holding onto a shopping cart".

Thanks to all our family and friends for your love and concern. A special note of thanks to the staff and management( past and present) of Crystal Care Nursing Home for your tender care and loving devotion shown to our mother over the past 13 years.

Services will be 11 AM Saturday Dec. 27, 2014 at D W Swick Funeral Home in South Webster, Ohio with Pastor Kenneth Estep officiating.

Visitation will be 4-8 pm Friday, Dec. 26th and 10-11am Saturday, Dec. 27th at the funeral home.

Burial will be at South Webster Cemetery
