Anita Rocha Valenciano was born on November 22, 1932 in Waring, Texas at the Ramonas' home to Clemente and Adelina Jimenez Rocha. Anita grew up in Sisterdale with six siblings. Her sister Juanita died at age 3 from diphtheria. She also had a brother, Samuel, and is survived by sisters Maria and Irene, and a brother, Clemente, Jr.

In February of 1947, Clemente moved his family to Boerne, Texas (Kendall County). Anita is survived by her husband of 57 years, Antonio P. Valenciano of Melvin, Texas whom she married on December 28, 1957. Antonio was in the Navy. After living in Long Beach, CA for a short time, the couple settled back in Boerne to raise their four children, Ricardo C. Valenciano+, Anna M. Davis (husband Kevin), Antonio R. Valenciano III, and Elisa Valenciano. Anita is also survived by ten grandchildren: Ricardo C. Valenciano, Yvonne Olivia Gonzales, Yvette Rochelle Outting-Valenciano, Alexis Nichole Valenciano, Ian Davis, Shaunlea Davis, Antonio Valenciano IV, Johnpaul Valenciano, Ocean Angelina Valenciano, and Porfirio E. Vijil III. Additionally, Anita is survived by five great-grandchildren: Mateo R. Gonzales, Giovanni C. Gonzales, Christian Parker Brown Valenciano, Emily Outting-Valenciano, and Jane Outting-Valenciano.

Through the years Anita was very involved with Saint Peters Catholic Church where she taught CCD, was involved with the Legion of Mary, the Guadalupana Society, the Bereavement committee, and caring for the Alter for many years. Anita also believed in giving back to the community. She was a Boerne Crusaders Member for many years and volunteered her time and energy whenever she could. Around two weeks ago during her normal Wednesday adoration visit she came home telling her family that she had been praying when she turned her head and saw the Divine Image of Jesus. She described him to be as clear as a real person and she felt comfort overcome her. In the next two weeks she made small comments regarding her burial and funeral arrangements.

On Saturday, April 18, 2015, in a fatal car accident, Anita R. Valenciano left her life on Earth to join Jesus and our family already in Heaven. Funeral Services will be held in Boerne, TX as follows; Friday, May 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM - Vaughan's Funeral Home - Rosary & Celebration of Life. Saturday, May 9th at 10:00 AM - Saint Peter's Catholic Church - Funeral Mass. Lunch to be held after the burial, at Saint Peters Catholic Church. All are invited to attend.
