WILLIAM ALBERT BERRY

William Albert “Bill” Berry, 80, of Orrville, Ohio, formerly of the Hundred area died Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, following a period of declining health.

Mr. Berry was born on June 2, 1935 in Littleton, WV, a son of the late Arlie Ray Berry and Emma Pearl Wilson Berry. He was united in marriage to Betty L. Garrison on December 22, 1962 in Hundred, West Virginia.

He was a 1954 graduate of Hundred High School and served in the United States Air Force at the end of the Korean War. He had been employed in the sales department at the former Orrville Products Company for 36 years, retiring in 1998. Following his retirement, he continued to pursue his education in a variety of health related fields.

Ab was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Orrville and enjoyed working with stained glass crafts.

In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by one daughter, Melissa Berry of Canton, Ohio; two sisters, Shirley (Rick) Smith of Mannington, WV and Carolyn Sue Stutler of New Martinsville, WV, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Donald Berry, Robert Berry, James Berry, Charles Berry, Roger Berry, and Ralph “Biggie” Berry; and sisters, Mary Sole and Clara Jean Berry.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, WV from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM service hour on Saturday, October 10, 2015. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM with Rev. Rose Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson-Bethel Cemetery near Littleton, WV.
