Auburn — Leslie R. "Les" Schleuder, 53, Auburn, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Colmery O'Neil V.A. Medical Center.
Mr. Schleuder was born Jan. 10, 1945, at Concordia.
He was a Vietnam Army veteran. He worked as a Military technician with small arms repair for the National Guard for 14 years and then worked in Environmental Management at the Colmery O'Neil V.A. Medical Center. He was a member of the Christ the King Catholic Church, Top ClassTopeka Control Line Association and American Legion Post 400.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy of the home; three sons, Ron Boyett of Topeka, Jeff of the home; Glenn of Watertown, N.Y.; two daughters, Diane and Debbie Schleuder, both of Watertown, N.Y.; his father, Lawrence Schleuder of Concordia; a brother, Ron of Greater Denver; six sisters, Linda Davenport and Pam Moon, both of Concordia, Bev Tadiken and Laura Widen, both of Salina, Becky Novak of Formosa, and Pat Knott of Windom; and two grandchildren.
The funeral was Saturday at the Christ the King Catholic Church, with interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 W. Sixth, Topeka 66603, handled arrangements.
