Kirk M. Lyons Dies Friday

Kirk M. Lyons, Clinton, formerly of El Reno, died Friday in a Clinton hospital following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Lyons was born Sept. 12, 1897, in El Reno, and attended schools here. He moved to Tulsa in 1920 and was employed in the Mayo hotel there. He later moved to Oklahoma City and went to Clinton in 1957.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Vina Sangster, 408 East Cooney, and Mrs. Ida Marie Davenport, Duncan; four brothers, Henry J. Lyons, Enid, Tom Lyons, 120 North Admire, Ivan Lyons, 300 North Bickford, and Edwin E. Lyons, Clinton.

Funeral services were held in the Wilson funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, with the Rev. Owen Gragg, minister of the Wesley Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in the El Reno cemetery under direction of the Wilson funeral home.
