Charles Leonhardt, a pioneer resident of Winnebago county, died Monday afternoon at his home, 201 Bowen street. He was seventy-six years of age. For a prolonged period his health had been gradually falling and his death from general debility was not unexpected.

Deceased was born In Saxony, Germany, In 1826. He came to America and located in Winnebago county fifty years ago. For the past thirty-five years he made Oshkosh his home, and his friends were very numerous. Mr. Leonhardt was a harness-maker, and until recent years was In active business, conducting a harness shop.

Those surviving him are a wife one daughter and six sons. They are Mrs. Schuster of Berlin. Charles Leonhardt of Chicago, William Leonhardt, Thomas Leonhardt. Frank Leonhardt, John Leonhardt and Christian Leonhardt, all of this city.-

The funeral will probably occur. Thursday.
