JOHN C. HERR DIES AT VETERANS HOSPITAL-
Funeral services for John C. Herr, 68, originally set for Saturday, were held Sunday afternoon at the Oregon Presbyterian Church, with Harvey Elder officiating. Burial was in the Oregon Cemetery.
Mr. Herr died Thursday at the Veteran's hospital in Wadsworth, Kansas.
Mr. Herr, who farmed near Oregon, was a World War I veteran. He was a member of the Oregon American Legion post and of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alberta Herr of the home; one son, Clayton Herr of Wathena, Kan.; three daughters, Mr. Ruth Edwards of Rosendale, and Mrs. Esther Markt and Miss Rosalee Herr, both of Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas McGaffrey of Williamsport, Pa., and Mrs. LeRoy Haist of Hot Springs, S.D.; and one brother, Lester Herr of Williamsport.
