Enos Wiley Munday, 81, life long resident of Cedar Vale, died Tuesday (December 13, 2005) at Medicalodge East of Arkansas City. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday (December 17, 2005) at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Cedar Creek Cemetery near Cedar Vale. Pastor Pete Seidel will officiate.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday.
Dub was born February 18, 1924, in Cedar Vale to Dewey M. and Rilla A. (Newman) Munday. He was reared and educated in Cedar Vale. He married Shirley Lorainne Parkhurst on June 24, 1945. She preceded him in death on July 16, 1987. Dub later married Erma Ruth McDaniels-Dixon on February 28, 1992. She preceded him in death on January 31, 2002. Dub retired in 1988 as the City of Cedar Vale water and sewer superintendent. He also farmed, did plumbing work, was known for being a jack-of-all-trades, and served as a volunteer fireman. Dub also attended the dances at area senior citizens centers and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
