Bobby R. Cothran, 80, son of the late Ralph R. and Lois W. Cothran passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015.
A graduate of Fairforest High School and attended Wofford College. He played triple A baseball with the Atlanta Braves organization, was a Korean War veteran and a retired employee of Draper Corporation.
He was a member of Nazareth Presbyterian Church and the Wagner Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan (Reynolds) Cothran; two step-children, Lucinda Cook and Robert Reynolds Cook; a sister, Joyce Johnson all of Spartanburg; and two grandchildren, Michael and Caroline Cook of Beaufort, SC.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Nazareth Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Tom Malone and Pastor Stan Reid officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
The family received friends immediately following the service in the social hall of the church.
