Walter Mahony born about 1834 in Cong, Co. Mayo, Ireland, married Bridget Boyle born about 1837, in Kilmaine RC on 31 Jan 1857. Their daughters Kate 1858, Mary 1862 and Anna 1863 were born in Cong, Patrick 28 June 1864 Cong. Margaret 1869, Delia 1871 both in New York, probably Saratoga.

All five Mahaney family members were removed from Victory Cemetery and reinterred in Visitation Cemetery on October 28, 1929, per cemetery records as transcribed by the American-Canadian Genealogical Society.
