On July 6, 1952, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Morrow in Westville, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, his children, Bob Sprouls, Cathy (Joel) Ribar and Scott (Jody) Sprouls, his grandchildren, Dustin (Jessica) Sprouls, Casey Sprouls, Katy (Brian) Watson, Chad (Sheena) Collom, Ian Ribar, Dylan Ribar, Andy Sprouls, Logan Sprouls and Nick McCombs, four great-grandchildren, three sisters, Jacky (Wayne) Gallagher, Myrna (Norman) Cade and Connie Acton, many cousins and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Patricia Peel and Marjorie Sandusky.
Bob was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a carpenter and also worked for the Recreation Department at the Danville VA. He retired after 35 years of service.
