Roy James Walker, 65, of Walton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2015 in Christiansburg, Va., following a long illness.

Roy, the son of the late Granville and Clara (Taylor) Walker, was a member of Lift Jesus High Pentecostal Holiness Church in Falling Rock. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Harlan, Allie and Denny Walker, and sister, Sendy Barker.

Roy is survived by his son, Travis Walker of Walton; daughter, Shannon Walker Kiser of Ohio; sisters, Mary Olive of Elkview, Ludean Toney of Ohio, Carol Evans of Clendenin, Patsy Lesher of Walton and Edith Lesher of Bomont; and grandchildren, Tayler, Korbin, Kaiden, Tyler, Trenton, Paige, Alexis and Brooklyn.

Roy's funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Matics Funeral Home, Clendenin, with Pastor Tony Lesher officiating. Burial will be at Lesher Cemetery, Clendenin.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
