Mrs. Nellie V. Mathews, of Washington, died at 3 P. M. yesterday at Mercy Hospital. She was 70 years old.

The widow of William H. Mathews, Mrs. Mathews is survived by a son, the Reverend Brother G. Lewis, F. C. S., and a daughter, Sister Mary Vincentia, of the Sisters of Mercy.

A mass for Mrs. Mathews will be said in the Mercy Hospital chapel at 9 A. M. tomorrow. Burial will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Washington.
