All served courageously in World War II and returned home safely to become lifelong residents of Pocatello. Her only living sibling is her older sister, Frances Prescott of Blackfoot, Idaho.

At age 2 Rose, lost her father to the effects of World War I nerve gas, suffered while serving his country. Her mother remarried and moved to Idaho to start a new life. Rose remarried to Ray Harmon of Pocatello. He accepted employment with a large corporation and they left the area in 1964, where they had opportunities to live in many places and through her husband's job, traveled to any interest countries and places. They lived in Spokane, WA.,San Francisco, Pittsburgh, PA, Long Island New York City, NY, Los Angeles and Orange Countries and finally returning home to Pocatello.

She was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2004 and has had a long struggle with hip and knee replacements and other health problems. She never gave up, always lived life with a bright smile and positive way that made every person she knew feel good. In 2014 Rose, with the encouragement of their son, Gregg asked to "Go HOME TO POCATELLO". The family returned to Pocatello just about 51 years after leaving.
