Carey Creel Roper, age 46, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014, in Las Vegas. She was born May 14, 1967, in Las Vegas, to parents, *** and ***. She loved her family; her husband, ***; her daughters, ***, ***, K*** and ***; and the two loves of her life, her grandsons, *** and ***.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Curt Creel (***). She is survived by her parents; two brothers, *** and ***; two sisters, *** and ***. She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.

Carey loved her country and had a special love for teaching children. She literally brought her teaching job home with her, and her first concern was making sure her students developed a sense of self-confidence, love for others, and a love of their country.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at the LDS Chapel, 9580 Peace Way, Las Vegas, NV 89147 (Peace Way and Grand Canyon). In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Missionary Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. "Love one another as I have loved you.
