Memorial services to celebrate the life of Xander Kade Barksdale, 8, of Southside will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Crosspoint Community Church. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Xander was a student at Mitchell Elementary School.
He is survived by his father, Shane Barksdale; grandparents, Ricky and Nancy Barksdale and, Vernon and Gail Vinzant.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Alabama Teachers Credit Union for Mitchell Elementary Schools needy children.
Special thanks to everyone in Montrose, Colorado, who stood with us and loved us through a dangerous and unbelievable time in our lives; and to our home families and all of our wonderful Godly friends who have prayed a peace over us and lifted us up when we had no strength to continue. "God is in America and is alive!"
