Norma Geanne Carlisle, 88, former Hobart resident passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015, in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was born on August 12, 1927, in Anadarko, Oklahoma to M.B. and Laverne (Coleman) Fanning. She married John Carlisle in 1944 in Hobart, OK. Norma raised her two children before going to West Texas State University to receive her Master's In Education. Norma taught Elementary and Jr. High in Amarillo and El Paso, Texas for 27 years. After retirement, Norma loved to travel to Europe to visit her daughter. She always had a great sense on humor and always had a smile on her face. Norma could make anyone in the room laugh. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter Carol Carlisle, Grandbury, TX
one son; John Michael Carlisle and wife Barbara, Shreveport, LA
one grandson; Sean Carlisle, Dallas, TX

She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband John
