Geraldine McKearn, 88, of Rockford, IL, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Wesley Willows. She was born November 18, 1927, in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Charles and Lenore (Cadman) McGlauchlin. Geraldine married Thomas E. McKearn on June 9, 1951, at First United Methodist Church, Beloit, WI. She received her Associates Degree from Rock Valley College. Geraldine was employed as a case worker for the Department of Children & Family Services in Rockford, IL, retiring in 1988. She was an active member of the Unitarian Church in Rockford and sang in the Power Singer's Choir. Geraldine was a committed supporter and volunteer at the Roscoe Library. She was a member of the Rambler's Club and the Ned Hollister Bird Club. Geraldine was also a volunteer of the Colored Sands Forest Preserve and the Audubon Club of Winnebago County.

Survivors include her five children, William Charles (Lan Phan) McKearn of Chicago, IL, Patrick David McKearn of New York City, NY, Katherine Lenore McKearn of Columbia, Maryland, Thomas Allen (Rajeswari) McKearn of Arlington Heights, IL, Sarah James (Robert Hull) of Charlottesville, VA; grandchildren, Stella Mary McKearn, Emily McKearn Harris, Anna McKearn Harris, Peter McKearn Harris, Frances Colleen McKearn and Clara Lenore James; great-grandsons, Oliver McKearn Gryczynski, and Dennis Errol Terrett; brother, Frank (Willa) McGlauchlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Thomas; brothers, David, John, Tom and Alan; sisters, Helen and Mary.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd. Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
