Frances Mary “Fran” Hooper, 66, of Assumption, IL died February 9, 2016, in Pana Community Hospital, Pana, IL.
Memorial services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016, in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 12:00, prior to service time, also in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be made to Donor’s Choice.
Fran was born April 7, 1949 in Glasgow, Scotland, the daughter of Mary Henderson. She became a United States Citizen September 7, 2007.
Fran was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Assumption. She was a cashier for Casey’s General Store in Assumption and previously worked as Activities Director at Prairie Rose Health Center in Pana, IL, housekeeping at Eastern Star Home in Macon, IL and as cashier at Freedom Oil Company in Assumption for 25 years. Fran served in Britain’s Royal Air Force as a radar technician prior to coming to the U.S.
Surviving are her sons: Ronald Hooper of Assumption, IL and Andrew (Jamie) Hooper of Pana, IL and granddaughter, Karlee Hooper of Pana, IL.
Preceding her in death are her mother and daughter-in-law Dee Dee Hooper.
