Laura N. Poplaski, 80, of Broadview Terrace, Pittsfield, MA, died Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Berkshire Medical Center. Born on March 19, 1936, in Pittsfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Lillian Gray Talbot. Laura was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She and her husband, Donald Poplaski, were married in St. Agnes Church, Dalton, in 1955 and together, they raised their family of five boys.
Laura liked to crochet and enjoyed being outdoors, working in her garden and watching the daily activity around her bird feeder. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her beloved husband, she leaves her sons; Donald Poplaski, Jr. and his wife, Beverly, of Greensboro, NC; Dennis Poplaski of Pittsfield; Dean Poplaski and his wife, Cathy, of Wilmington, NC; and Darryl Poplaski and his wife, Shelley, of Pittsfield. She also leaves nine grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, as well as a sister, Doris Pasquarelli and her husband, Louis, of Pittsfield.
Laura is predeceased by two brothers, two sisters and her son, Daniel, who died December 22, 1983.
A brief prayer service will be held at 1:30 P.M., led by the Rev. Charles Young, with burial to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
