Carol Mikuta, 69, of Washington, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, of cancer.

She was born June 27, 1939, in Washington, the youngest of three daughters of Robert and Doris Brownlee Behringer.

Mrs. Mikuta and her husband were members of Immaculate Conception Church. She attended Washington High School and was employed by Trinity Area School District, serving as cafeteria manager at Patten school as well as working in several other Trinity schools within the district.

She was a member of a group called Retired Angels.

Mrs. Mikuta was a kind, thoughtful, caring person whose cheerful manner and generous nature enriched the lives of her family and numerous friends. Her kindness led her to help and serve as a caretaker for many who were in need because of failing health or unfortunate circumstances.

She was a devoted wife to her husband, Bernard, who survives. They especially enjoyed traveling during their long marriage.

She always looked upon her close family with pride.

She was the loving mother of two daughters, Christine Ann Mikuta of Canonsburg and Janet Lynn (Albert) Aloia of McMurray; two treasured grandchildren, Kent David Aloia and Julie Christine Aloia of McMurray; two sisters, Doris Ann (Don) Roth of Yucaipa, Calif., and Joan (George) Summers of Loma Linda, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, where a prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, with the Rev. Nicholas A. Spirko as celebrant. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
