Olga Miller, 96, of West Scranton, passed away Saturday at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pa. She was the wife of the late Stanley J. Miller Sr.

Born in Scranton to the late Michael and Rose Krupa Mallick, she was educated in the Scranton School District. Olga was employed as an excellent seamstress, working for local businesses, making beautiful dresses and gowns. After her retirement, she became well-travelled with her husband of 64 years, Stanley J. Miller Sr.

Olga was a loving and kind mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was loved dearly and cherished by her family. She was best known for her sweet and gentle character. Her perpetual smile was contagious and always brightened the moment. Although she loved to travel and cook, her greatest love and devotion was for her family and time spent with them.

She is survived by her daughter, Roseann Chomko, Scranton; son, Stanley J. Miller Jr. and wife, Pok Sun, Camp Hill; grandchildren, Jolene Chomko Hanley, Derek and Dylan Miller; two great-grandchildren, Ciara and Joseph; numerous nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews; and a sister, Emilia Dzik, Scranton.

Olga was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Walter, Andrew and Michael; and a sister, Mary Talapa.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr Eric Smith for taking such good care of Olga, and to the fifth-floor staff at the Jewish Home for their excellent care and compassion.

The funeral will be Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the Carl J. Savino Jr. Funeral Home, 157 S. Main Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Basilica, 1233 St. Ann's St., Scranton. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Oram Street, Scranton.

Friends may call Friday, 4 to 7 p.m. Arrangements under the care and direction of Deserae Gondella Malone, funeral director.
