Services honoring Mr. Tu’ifua will be held at Kihei Tongan United Methodist Mission Church (Kihei Lutheran Church: 220 Moi Pl., Kihei) on Thursday, October 20, 2016. Services will begin at 6:00pm. Mr. Tu’ifua will be laid to eternal rest on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Maui Memorial Park at 10:30am. Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Manu was born on April 4, 1971 in Kolofoou, Tonga to Sione & Lesieli Tu’ifua. He graduated from Tupou College, and went on to earn degrees in both veterinary science and agriculture at the Navuso School of Agriculture in Fiji. Upon his graduation, he went on to study theology at the Sia’atoutai Theological College in Tonga. In 2008, Manu moved to Maui, where he met and married his love, Leinaala Chang.
Manu leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 7 years, Leinaala Tu’ifua; children, Melevea, Manu Jr., & Malia Tu’ifua; mother, Lesieli Tu’ifua; brother, Tevita Tu’ifua; and sisters, Leva Hafoka, Halamehi Bing, Setaita Tu’ifua and Tala Tu’ifua.
