Patricia is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Thornton Abel, Samantha Thornton Pearsaul and her husband David Pearsaul; her granddaughter, Amy Abel-Kiker and her husband Chris Kiker; as well as numerous dear friends and family members. Patricia was an active member of Sharpsburg Baptist Church and was a lifetime Christ follower.
Known for her quick wit and spry sense of humor, Patricia danced through life caring for her friends and family, joyfully and generously. She was also an avid seamstress and gardener.
Patricia joins her husband, Kenneth Bruce Thornton; son, Brent Ward Thornton; mother, Dorothy Freels Ownby; and father, Clyde "Pat" Ward, in Heaven.
Graveside service will be held at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro on Friday, April 18 at 2 p.m.
Crest Lawn Funeral Home, Macon, has charge of funeral and burial arrangements.
