E.L. Turner, 82, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Lebanon M.B. Church with the Rev. Billy Rainey officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Verona. Grayson-Porter’s Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements..
Survivors include four sons, Robert Turner, Willie Turner, Lawrence Turner and Ricky Turner, all of Tupelo; three daughters, Mary Gunn, Eire Young and Sue Hampton, all of Tupelo; one brother, John Humphrey of Tupelo; one sister, Evelyn Lena Moore of Tupelo; 14 grandchildren.
The body will lie in state from 3 until 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to services.
