Olga Stoltenburg, 102, a resident of Sleepy Eye Care Center and formerly of New Ulm died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation is one hour before the service Wednesday at funeral home.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Donald Olson of Seattle, Wash.; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Erica Hellmann of Laguna Woods, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Walter Hellmann in 1971; and her second husband, Alfred Stoltenburg in 1985; sisters, Aurelia Walker, Olivia Gluth, and Norma Ford; and a brother in infancy.
She was born Aug. 9, 1899, in New Ulm to Adolph and Ida (Boock) Klause. She attended New Ulm Public School and attended the Mankato Commercial College. She worked as a bookkeeper for Eagle Roller Mills in New Ulm. On Oct. 10, 1924, she married Walter Hellmann at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in New Ulm. They lived in Nicollet and later moved to New Ulm. She was a homemaker. Walter died in 1971. She married Alfred Stoltenburg in 1973 at St. Paul's Parsonage in New Ulm. He died in 1985. She became a resident of the Sleepy Eye Care Center in 1989. She was a member of the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
