Bobby Loyd Jones, 81, peacefully passed on, Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at Baylor Scott & White Waxahachie following a long valiant fight with illness. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2016, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of Life will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2016, in the J.E. Born in Dallas, Texas, to the late Maybelle "Cookie" DeMay and Cecil Loyd Jones, he was raised in Oak Cliff and joined the U.S. Naval Reserves when he was 17 years old. He later went to work for Home Furniture Company in Dallas where he met a girl in the accounting department who would later become his wife.

After marrying in 1958, Bobby joined the U.S. Army in 1959 and was stationed at Fort Hood. Upon completion of his years of service, Bobby and Sue, along with two boys, moved back to the Palmer area where they welcomed their daughter, and Bobby began working for Ennis Business Forms.

Bobby was a proud member of the Ferris Masonic Lodge, the Hella Shriners, the Palmer Lions Club and served on the Palmer ISD school board. In 1982, Bobby started his business Bee Jay Business Forms. He not only took pride in his business, but relished the friends he made along the way.

Bob was an avid golfer, but his passion was watching his grandsons play baseball. He could always be found at the ballfield cheering them on and making new friends at every game.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Pat Daniels and Martha Lee Jones Dobbs.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Marva Sue Bardwell Jones; sons, Marvin Jones and his wife, Andralyn, and Michael Jones and Amber Conatser; daughter, Rebecca Pugh and her husband, Randy; grandsons: Dustin Jones and his wife, Jessie, Jordan Jones, and Landon and Logan Pugh; several nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
