Mr. Nason served in the Army during World War II and was employed by the Aluminum Company of America, Massena, until his retirement in May 1982, after more than 30 years.
Born Jan. 1, 1925, in Malone, son of Alfred and Lydia Amo Nason, he married Beulah May Hutchins on July 19, 1964, at St. John Bosco Church. She died July 6, 1975.
He was a member of the Alcoa 25-Year Club and enjoyed reading and carpentry.
Surviving are his foster grandmother, Olive Patnode, Massena; a stepson, Raymond Hutchins, Malone; four brothers, Henry, Floyd and Clarence, all of Malone, and Lawrence, Fort Covington; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Gladys) Lord, Malone; five step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Six brothers, James, Leonard, Herbert, Robert, Lloyd and Sherman, and three sisters, Stella Deshane, Helen Lavier and Shirley Nason, died before him.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Notre Dame Church with Monsignor Dennis J. Duprey officiating. Burial will be in St. John Bosco Cemetery.
