Mass of Christian Burial for Nicholas D. Square a 52 year Perry resident will be Thursday Jan. 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Cyprian Catholic Church 4223 Middle Ridge Rd. Perry. Rev. George Kusy will officiate. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 27, 2016 at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
Born on Aug. 6, 1939 in Painesville to Felix and Mary (Venditti) Square. He passed away Jan. 22, 2016, surrounded by the love of his devoted wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Nicholas was retired from the Perry School System and proudly served as the transportation Director for over 30 years. He also owned and operated Perry Lake Nursery and served with pride in the U.S. Armed Forces.
He enjoyed cooking, history, casinos, camping, agriculture, and mechanics; but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and instilling in them family values.
He is survived by his wife, Faye (Claytor) Square whom he married on March 7, 1964; children, Lana (Bill) McBride, Reginald Square, Dennis Square, Elizabeth Square, Nicholetta Square; grandchildren, Deena (Jaime) Whited, Kimberly (Robert) Fowler, Angela (Dave) Coryell, Curtis Square and Ryan (Jennifer) Square; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Fearing and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Vincent M. Square; sisters, Lucille Dietz, Regina Crnjak, and Yolanda Square and his parents.
