British Actress. In a career that spanned over forty years Carol became a star on British Television in 1965 with her portrayal of a pregnant mother in a grim story called "Cathy Come Home" and "Poor Cow". She was born in Hammersmith, West London to working class parents. Carol started making pictures in 1949 in an uncredited part of Sibella in "Kind Hearts and Coronets." She made over 41 pictures with her last film in 1991 called "Eating"  She died of liver failure in Miami, USA. Her ashes were finally sent home to be buried with her parents in Mortlake Cemetary, Surrey, England.
