Bob would do almost anything for anybody. Always willing to lend a hand with any project, he was tireless in trying to make his little corner of this world a better place. Diagnosed with Leukemia, he had a choice to take short treatment in which he could expect another 3 months of life, or a more intensive treatment that may have granted him an additional year. He chose the intensive but lasted less than 1 month. All his family were there with him. He loved the river, building model airplanes, and being with his family and friends. Sadly missed by all those who knew him.
This poem written by his wife Betty on 1/26/2004.
(also her birthday)
I THANK YOU BOB,
"THE LOVE OF MY LIFE
FOR CHOOSING ME TO BE YOUR WIFE,
YOU ARE THE BEST THING I EVER HAD,
YOU WERE ALSO A PERFECT DAD.
MY LOVE FOR YOU WILL NEVER CHANGE,
EVEN THOUGH YOU SEEM SO OUT OF RANGE.
THE LOVE WE HAVE,
IS STILL IN MY HEART,
I STILL BELIEVE,
"TILL DEATH DO US PART"
EVEN THOUGH TODAY THERE ARE MANY TEARS,
I THANK YOU, BOB,
FOR ALL THE GOOD YEARS.
I LOVE YOU, BETTY
