SP4 Quigley, C Company, 554th Engineer Battalion, 79th Engineer Group, 20th Engineer Brigade, U.S. Army, was killed in a NVA ground attack on the base of the 25th Infantry Division located at Cu Chi at which his unit was located. The objective of the attack was the destruction of Chinook helicopters parked near where SP4 Quigley was housed.
