Born Alexander John Charles Robert Albert Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, with the title of HRH Prince John of the United Kingdom at the royal residence, Sandringham House, the youngest child of Edward VII, King of the United Kingdom and his Queen Consort, Alexandra Caroline Marie Charlotte Louise Julia, Princess of Denmark. Born prematurely after a problem pregnancy, he survived only one day, and was interred upon the estate.
