MANUEL A. FRANKO Age 85, of San Leandro, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family, on August 31, 2005. Manuel was born in San Leandro and moved to Oakland as a young man, where he met his future wife of 65 years, Henrietta (Hank). They then moved back to the home where he was born and they lived there for the next 58 years. Manuel worked in the sheet metal industry and spent 28 years at Lofia and 26 years at Wellmade. He was a hardworking man who had a passion for hunting and fishing and lovingly shared the fruits of his garden with his family and friends. Manuel never hesitated to say yes to anyone who asked for his help. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlotte, five sisters and four brothers. In addition to his loving wife Henrietta, Manuel is survived by his daughter Joyce of Livermore and his son Manuel M. of San Leandro. In addition to his wife, Henrietta and his children, the love he gave and recieved from his grandchildren, Leasa, Jeff, Jermey and Nick, and his great grandchildren, Alexys and Grant, were the greatest treasures of his life. Friends are invited to attend the funeral leaving GUERRERO MORTUARY CHAPEL, 407 Estudillo Ave., San Leandro, Calif., on Friday, September 2, 2005, at 10 a.m., thence to St. Leander's Church, San Leandro, for a funeral liturgy at 10:30 a.m. Visitation at the mortuary Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward, Calif.
