Obituary:
Louise Hawks 89, of Canon City and formerlay of Pueblo, went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2006.
Louise loved rodeos, working in her yard and ranching (raising cattle).
She was born in Goodland, Kansas on September 7, 1917, and then moved to Stone City, in 1949, where they had a trucking business working in the clay mines.
She then moved to Pueblo in the 1960's and to Penrose in 1984 and recently moved to the nursing home in Canon City.
She is survived by her daughter Twila (Bob) Soaf; sister, Margie atwood, Penrose; former daughter-in-law, Jean Hawks; daughter-in-law, Gail Hawks;
grandchildren, Roland (Georgeanne) Smith, Charlie (Eva Jean) Smith, Steve (Betty) Smith, DAve (Stephanie) Smith, Barbara(Tony) Roderick,
Karen(Anthony) Arogon, John Johnson Hawks, Denny Lee (Sheni) Hawks and Kevin Hawks; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren,
nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
She was receded in death by her husband, Orville L. Hawks; son, Dennis L. Hawks; parents, Eva and Fred Doerfer; and grandson, Loren Ray Hawks.
Viewing will be from 6-7 p.m. tonight and funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, both at Romero Chapel. Reception will follow immediately
after service at Romero's Hall and burial to follow immediately after service at Romero's Hall and burial to follow reception at 2:30 p.m. in
Union Highland Cemetery in Florence.
Arrangements were through Romero Family Funeral Home.
