Cathy was the daughter of Rosa Lee Lowman and the wife of Pete Farris. She worked at Drexel Heritage Furnishings. Cathy developed chronic granulocytic leukemia in 1974, which accelerated into acute leukemia. Cathy underwent a bone marrow transplant but was unable to overcome the disease. She is survived by her husband and daughter Melissa; brothers Richard, Gerald, and Eddie; sisters Rita Hamby, Shirley Bentley, and Linda Styles.
