bertha mae simpson-spain was born in haynesville,lousiana on november the second in 1936 were she later moved to california, she had 6 beautiful kids who she ADORED and a wonderful husband who proceeded her in death(willie spain sr.)
even though she was a young beautiful widow my grammy still lived for her children as they had children, she kept our family together and started all of our family reunions.she always love to cook for everyone and she was a darn good cook at that,(especially her carmel cake) whenever any of us had a problem she will make sure that she always had the answers for every situation, she had this love for her grandkids that nobody can ever change we all had are very own personal and close relationship with her,so close that we as her grankids called her mama instead of grandma.she was the light of all of our lives.in june 0f 1995 our lives changed my grandma was diagnosed with a anuerysem to the brain which she spend 2 weeks in the hospital before she passed.it was the worst time for our family.she is missed by all her family and all who knew her. thank you mama for alway's being there for me when i needed help with math or i just needed a hug , thank you for being the best grandmother, mother, and friend . there is not a day that i don't think of you , i miss you so much and i thank god for allowing me too be your grandaughter i wouldn't ask for another.
