My mom Marie had a big heart and love for people, but she was also confused, sad and lonely. She came from a large Italian family, with six brothers and two sisters. Unfortunately, she didn't get support and love from them growing up. Her parents abused and abandoned her when she was a very young child. She left behind two beautiful daughters, Celesta and Neffertiti. Mom loved us both.The dept. of social services took us away from her. My sister and I were placed in a dysfunctional, terrible foster home. She desperately wanted to get better and recover from drug addiction so she could get us back. I met her a few times. I never got to know her well; she overdosed on drugs when I was eight -years old. Now I'm forty one. I'm living a great life in her honor. The little memory I have of her, I cherish so much.
