Barb was born in Joliet, IL, but lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana most of her life. Her father was transferred to LA when she was 11. She left the family home at an early age and when they moved back to IL, she stayed in Louisiana. She was married three times, but was alone when she died. Her cremated remains were brought back to Illinois and are buried with her mother and father.
