Dylan Byron Earven, age 7 of Globe, Arizona passed away on Friday, July 30, 2010. He was born on May 23, 2003. Dylan loved life and took great pleasure in everything he did. On days Dylan woke up feeling good he would say to his mom, "Today is a beautiful day, I feel good."

He was made honorary member #399 of the Globe Fire Department and was lead biker in Globe's Centennial Parade in March of 2007. He was a fan of SpongeBob, Lightning McQueen, Mickey Mouse, and Nascar - Tony Stewart.

He leaves behind his loving parents, Donald and Angela Earven; two brothers Gabriel Andrade and D.J. Earven; his cousins Gregory and Nicholas Andrade and Kyle McGowan. His grandparents Ray and Jimmie Earven. His grandmother Mary Esther Andrade

He is proceeded in death by Grandpa Goyo (Greg) Andrade, Sr. as well as many aunts and uncles. He will be missed dearly.

In the short seven years of Dylan's life he touched a countless number of lives with his smile, humor, compassion, love of life, and most importantly his fight. In June of 2006 Dylan was diagnosed with brain cancer and at that time his family had no idea of what was to come.

We prayed for "strength beyond belief" for Dylan as he went through his cancer treatments and that's exactly what we got. Dylan was amazingly strong and what appeared to be a healthy normal three-year-old. But in April of 2007 it was discovered that the tumor had returned and had spread to his spine. At that point his family prayed for a miracle, and although this day may make some think our prayers were not answered we know now they were.

Dylan fought for three more years with everything in him and during this time the miracles began. Not the miracle of his healing, but with many other miracles that took place as he sacrificed himself for his loved ones. We have witnessed the transformation of the human spirit in many from fear, hopelessness and anger to strength, hope and peace.

This has been a long and difficult journey for Dylan, but he is finally at peace.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, at 844 W. Sullivan Street in Miami, Arizona. Rosary will follow on Aug. 5 at 9:30 a.m. A mass will be held on Aug. 5, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. Interment will be at Globe Cemetery on Hackney Avenue in Globe.

Funeral arrangements for Dylan were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services.
