Karel Johann Alex ORIE was born April 23th.1890 in the Dutch Dominion DUTCH EAST INDIES(now called INDONESIA).
Karel was the Son of Nicolaas Johannes ORIE born April 7th.1855 in LEEUWARDEN in HOLLAND,who died in the DUTCH EAST INDIES Sept.15th.1929.
Karel ORIE served the DUTCH Goverment as Governor of
SOERAKARTA in the DUTCH EAST INDIES short before WW2.
Karel was during WW2 prisoner in a Japanese Camp.
Karel was married with Adolphine HILLING.
He died in DJAKARTA-INDONESIA October 26th.1951.and is buried on the local Cemetery.
His Son Karel ORIE served the Roman Catholic Church on JAVA as a Jesuit Priest and has also a Memorial page on Find a Grave.
