Mrs. Moselle L. Hagan, 86, 1800 Moore Ave., the last surviving widow of a Confederate Veteran in Calhoun County, died Wednesday afternoon in Atlanta, Ga., after a lengthy illness. Members of Mrs. Hagans family stated she was the widow of William C. Hagans, a veteran of the Civil War. He was a farmer until he died in 1926.
Funeral Services will be held today at 4pm at Usrey Chapel With the Rev's Howard Raines and Dwight Pearson officiating. Burial will be in Edgemont Cemetery.
The survivors include two sons, H.C. and Charles E., Anniston; three daughters, Mrs. E.J. Hunt, Atlanta; Mrs. Rosa Newton, Anniston; Mrs. J.W. Burt, Dallas, Tex.; three brothers, Edgar Reed, Texarkana, Ark.,; Hugh S. Reed, Wellington; Thomas B. Reed, Birmingham, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Harold Langford, Clyde Buchanon, Paul Grey, J.A. Barnette, W.D. Nunnally and Hayden Taylor.
