Dale was the second of three babies to die of kidney disease, we took him to the best doctors and there was nothing they could do in those days. Today a kidney transplant or even some new medications, but in the 1950's everything was a mystery.
He was the most beautiful baby mother was so proud. One day I came home from school and saw mother holding Dale and crying in the chair, my sister and i looked at her and knew with out words, that he too had the same disease as his brother David that died. Mother had another baby girl that also had the disease and passed away a year later. Mom got pregnant again only to loose her husband at age 35 of a heart attack before he could see his health baby boy. that boy is now 52 years old and still healthy.
